Mine has Coil Splits, and would this also affect how it'll sound? Thinking about removing the adjustable pole pieces out to see how it sounds. Nine Black Posted November 17, 2014 Share Posted November 17, 2014 Set the Rhythm pickup as low as it will go that will get the string pull down keep the screws level with the cover , get the lead pickup one 8th of an inch from the strings use 9 gage strings it will be bright and have a lot of Bite I have a real 1961 LP SG as well as the G 400 Epi Pro 2014 and I use My Epi more as it kicks My Gibson's *** Good luck with Your Axe Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
