mountain2012
Can you tell me how it differs from the other A2 humbuckers (potted Burstbucker, '57 Classic, '59 Tribute Humbucker) as far as screw vs slug strength and any other differences? 4Hayden
[thumbup] [thumbup] [thumbup] I have a set of 490's that came stock with my '09 BB King Lucille. I dig them. So far it is the only guitar I have bought in the last 7 or 8 years I have not swapped pups out in.
kidblast
I can only compare to the first generation burstbuckers... (of course, everyone will have different opinions) the 490T is a more versatile pickup for me, handles clean and more modern gain tones better than I experienced with the BB1s I had. I would not change the 498R / 490T combo in my 95 standard, it's perfect for me. however I did change out the BBs in my 02 standard, that's gotta tell ya something?
