RKW Posted February 26, 2015 Share Posted February 26, 2015 I'm about to do some mods to my firebird, starting with putting in some seymour duncan sm-3s and finishing with re-jigging the wiring for one master volume and two spin-a-splits. I'd really like to put the master volume where the toggle switch is and move the toggle down to where the other controls are. However, I've had a look at the toggle fitted at the moment and it's clearly too big to fit a. through the hole of one of the existing pots; and b. generally in the existing cavity. I don't want to alter any of the holes on the guitar, so can anyone recommend me a 3-way switch that would fit nicely into the existing pot holes in a firebird? It doesn't necessarily have to be a toggle switch, just so long as I can fit it in the existing holes. Please note I'm based in the UK, so only switches that I can buy here please! I think they require a 12 mm hole (but that's just a guess cos I cant remember off hand).. I was just looking over your question and my answer wasn't really very helpful (I handt quite read your question properly).. I use a place called Axes R Us... they have a mini 3 way but don't show the size of the thread shaft... maybe email them and they will suggest something..
