Ron Posted February 26, 2008 Share Posted February 26, 2008 Hello, i'm about to purchase an Alvin Lee Big Red ES-335 (unlimited) but i see that the limited edition (50 of them) version has a long neck tenon, the unlimited one has not. Custom Admin Posted February 26, 2008 Share Posted February 26, 2008 the tenon is the neck joint...some people believe a longer neck tenon has a positive impact on tone and sustain, some people don't think it has any effect. this is a feature that is "historically accurate" to many of the '50s reproductions we make here at the CS. there's really no way to retrofit something like this...
