SkyRider
Hi, Will the neck thickness and shape be same on this Antiquity to a Standard J-45 being made today? Other than visual appointments, are the bracing and other factors that attributes to tone be same as a Standard J-45? Thanks'
SkyRider
Oops. Here is the link to guitar I am asking about. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/gibson-rs45atn17-1950s-j-45-antiquity-acoustic-electric-guitar
zombywoof
Not sure what new guitars come with a similar neck but the slim taper neck is a feature associated with the 1960s not the 1950s. It means that the sides are tapered in. My wife has a 1960 J-200 and that neck is thinner all the way down not just for the first 5 frets or something. Then again, what Gibson means by this today, who knows.
