I restrung the Vintage with EJ-19's to match the TV. I need to let new strings settle in and get some play to get a fair comparison of the tonal qualities and volume of the guitars. The Vintage is a little lighter, but not substantially--unlike the substantial weight difference with the standard. Bursts on both are very nice, and not so different in appearance. For example, my family would never notice the difference. Interesting that the Saddle on the Vintage is white and the TV saddle is darker, surprising considering the relicing of the tuners on the vintage model. Maybe Sal had a new saddle made?
