CrazyHeart
Just bought a brand new 2017 J-45 over the weekend from a Gibson dealer. From the first couple of strums I knew it was going home with me. My wife even commented how nice this one sounded. I'm just curious if serial number is definitely a 2017, why would a 2018 be stamped on back of headstock? Thanks in advance for any information on this, Jim p.s. I will be calling Gibson customer service on this too.

Victory Pete
They are 2 0 2 July 21st. What does it say on the interior label and the warranty card?
Victory Pete
It is listed as a 2018 http://www.gibson.com/Products/Acoustic-Instruments/2018/J-45-Standard-2018.aspx
bobouz
Gibson has been doing this now for a while - listing new models by year, like cars. Clearly the instrument was made in 2017, but it's the new 2018 model.
