colski Posted March 3, 2008 Share Posted March 3, 2008 Hi there, I installed mine on the flat base of the heel. With hindsight, I might have installed it on the side of the heel, "round the corner" so to speak, but I always felt that would interfere with high fret access. Never had any problems yet. If you are doing the job yourself be sure to pre-drill the hole and use a felt spacer/washer! I use Schaller strap locks on all my guitars, so that's the type of button I used.
