Were they peg style as so many are, or were they attached with a screw? Thanks! Rick My 1948-1950 J-45 originally had a black plastic tapered peg endpin, not a screw-on one. This is what I've typically seen on late 40's and early 50's J-45s. It broke off a few years ago, so the guitar now as a bone endpin of the same type.
