Early 50s J45 Endpin

Hi. I'm curious as to how the endpins were attached in the early 50s, especially 1952. Were they peg style as so many are, or were they attached with a screw? Thanks! Rick

My 1948-1950 J-45 originally had a black plastic tapered peg endpin, not a screw-on one. This is what I've typically seen on late 40's and early 50's J-45s.

It broke off a few years ago, so the guitar now as a bone endpin of the same type.

Thanks! I was thinking of adding an Ebony one
