How Old is this?

Rick,

Please don't mess with that bridge. A lot of these great, old Gibsons either have replaced or shaved original bridges. Either hurts value. A properly done neck reset, though, not only improves playability and tone, but value as well.

Can we see pics of the guitar strung up and ready to og?

Rick,

You probably know this, but in case you don't, ... the guitar will have the long, pre-1944 dovetail cut on a band saw (rather than by the router that Gibson got in 1944). Here's the dovetail on my guitar:

Well, I just got back from delivering the L-1 to the owner. Didn't seem real excited about the value or anything and also seemed to know it was worth "something". I guess it was his father-in-law's Dad or Grandpa's guitar.

Anyways, I thought he would be a little more excited about it..:-k

But. THANK YOU EVERYONE for your info and replies and advice etc..

Very appreciated and it taught me some things about these older Gibbys!!

Thousand Thanks!
