viper155
Hey All, I have a burst 1980 ES-335 Pro and the label is missing!! What tell tale signs should I look for that may indicate the guitar make be a fake?
ksdaddy
The list of tell tale signs is way too long. Post some pics and if anyone sees something amiss of suspect, it will be pointed out quickly. I seriously doubt you have a fake 1980 335 Pro. I'm betting it's the real deal. And not all Gibsons left the factory with a label.

ksdaddy
Looks fine to me. The TP-6 tailpiece may or may not have come on it stock but they were common during that time period. Speed knobs, likely Dirty Fingers pickups, it all fits. I see the center part of the sunburst is quite bright yellow....I'm curious if it is a Kalamazoo or Nashville. I know about that time some sunbursts had darker centers, some very dark in fact. Your serial number will end in either a number under 500 or over 500. Which is it?
