Emmsys
Hi, I am interested in buying a used Epiphone Explorer locally. The guitar is black with no fret inlays aside from the 12th fret having XII. It’s supposedly 2-3 years old and NOT the Goth model. Owner says it is an RS (or RX, wasn’t clear on the phone) model but I can’t find any info on RS or RX. I checked Epiphone’s website and they mention the usual suspects (Epi Korina, Goth, 1984 etc). Price was $600 new now he is asking 300$. I am worried if this is a Chinese copy. I can ask for the serial number but if anyone has any tips about the RS/RS model, quality etc. I just play guitar for fun and don’t gig or anything. I modify guitars almost more than I play them so changing/modifying it is in the plans. Thanks in advance for any info! E
mihcmac
Goth's are the only models with no inlays except having the XII on the 12th fret, which is unique to Goths... However there is a Goth Explorer FR with a Floyd Rose tremolo..... see the Explorer wiki......
