"Jazzman" Jeff on Taped with Rabbi Doug's show

Recommended Posts

Here  is a clip of me appearing on Taped with Rabbi Doug’s show from his YouTube page.  It’s an internet show as well as a local Chicagoland cable show.  I hope you enjoy my music in it and my interview before, during, and towards the end.

I do the following songs in it:

1)  A guitar instrumental arrangement of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah"

2)  A guitar instrumental arrangement of Lennon/McCartney's " All You Need is Love"

3) An original guitar instrumental  called "Jacob's Ladder")

4) My guitar and vocal rendition of Fred Geis' "I'm Going Home" (a great  old Kingston Trio song)

5) A guitar instrumental arrangement of Craig Taubman's "Shehechianu"

Here’s the link to the version on Rabbi Doug YouTube channel:  https://youtu.be/QRjbPEJN1Z8

Hope you enjoy the music and interview.  Just trying to keep busy with all of my outdoor gigs postponed.

Feel free to share it!

Stay healthy!

My best to you!

Boy, that EL-00 Mahogany sounds so good in your hands. Fantastic playing. I really enjoyed hearing you sing "I'm Going Home." The EL-00 sounded great strummed, too.

I like my EL-00 guitars a lot.  One is a sunburst spruce top and one, as mentioned, is a mahogany version.   They have a great slimtaper Gibson shaped neck and their sound is really good,  very well suited for my fingerpicking style and  strumming .   In my book, they are as good to play and as good sounding as their much more expensive L-00 counterparts.  Could be a reason the EL-00 line now seems to be dropped in the current line-up.   Although, who knows, maybe they will be back with a Masterbuilt designation.  The only change I made to both my EL-00s was to substitute a much higher quality, higher density tusq saddle in each than came with the guitars.

Glad you liked my rendition of "I'm Going Home".  The song has stayed in my repertoire a longgggg  time because I like it so much.  I actually won my 6th grade talent show back in 1965 singing that song, many moons ago..

Thanks for listening/watching the Taped with Rabbi Doug Show segment.   Glad you liked my playing!
