ricmoozic
I am looking at a 2019 Custom Shop Cedar/Mahogany J-45 to buy, slightly used. I have not seen it in person yet but have seen fotos... the back of the headstock has no visible stampings and the tuners look suspicious. The Sunburst on the front seems not symetrical, not what I would expect from a high quality instrument. Should I be concerned with these issues as a counterfeit? Anything else to look for? Thank you for any input and advice.
jedzep
Good to go. Tuners are correct and the burst has a nice soft feathered effect. Orange label inside should have a number that corresponds to 2019 build date.
ricmoozic
Thank you for the confidence boost. I will demo it this week and am hoping it's the real deal. It's not a cheap price and will be my first Gibson acoustic. So just covering all the bases. Thanks again.
