Jamco80
Hello, was wondering if anyone could please help? I have an old epiphone SG whose pickups have gone micophonic and are falling out of the scratch plate as the adjustment screw housings have worn out. Sourcing replacements seems to be more difficult than I thought. Does any know where I can order a new set of pickups? It’s the model with a full sized scratch plate, dot inlays and no rings round the pickups. thanks Jim
mihcmac
There are tons of aftermarket Humbucker sized pickups that will work. GFS makes a very wide selection of very high quality pickups at very reasonable prices. https://www.guitarfetish.com/GFS-Guitar-Pickups_c_7.html
Jamco80
Thanks for your reply. the site looks good. Forgot to mention I’m in the uk. I would prefer to purchase in UK if possible and ideally epiphone parts if possible. thank you though much appreciated 😀
mihcmac
GFS pickups are very high quality and probably better than Epiphonre brand that are considerably more expensive. You should be able to find (like new) used Epi parts in the UK for considerably less on eBay.. https://www.epiphone.com/Gear/Pickups-and-Electronics/IEPB These are $149.99 for Nickel and $169.99 for gold.
