tazzboy
Closer to the Standard. The Classic wasn't reissue per say it's just made from 1960s style of guitars. The Classic started in 1990 and end's run last year.

FallenRoses
They are beautiful guitars! And sound wonderful, but keep in mind that they have ceramic PUs and not many people are fond of those at all. I for one love them. i only payed $1000 even for mine and shes the best guitar I've ever played. If you like the guitar get it other wise don't. Loud N Proud
The only Les Paul I ever sold was a Classic in Tobacco Burst. I wish I never did. I have sold a bunch of guitars and that is still the one I miss.
NeoConMan
where are these on the les paul scale' date=' in between studio and standard? [/quote']They were called the Classic and had 1960 on the pickguard on most of them. It's a Standard with a slim taper neck, ceramic pickups, and inlays tinted for a vintage look that sometimes look green. I don't know what UK prices are for normal, the Classic is usually the same price as a basic Standard or a little less. Great guitars.
matiac
I wish I didn't have to get rid of mine (2008 Classic)...I'm thinkin' it was better than the SG Standard (2006) I also had to get rid of, weighed about the same as the SG. The Les Paul Classic is a fine guitar, you won't be sorry.
