Bob Isaac Posted July 21, 2022 Share Posted July 21, 2022 I have just bought what is advertised as a Custom Shop acoustic guitar from the Custom Historic Collection. It is the 1952 J-185 VSB reissue. I do not see this clearly mentioned in the dating FAQ on the Gibson web site so wondering if anyone can assist please. There is no serial number stamped at the back of the headstock. Dave F Posted July 22, 2022 Share Posted July 22, 2022 See if there's an ink stamp on the inside neck block matching the serial number on the sticker. They do that on some of these historic models. The serial number 22761018 sets it as the 18th (nnnnn018) guitar built on Oct 3rd (n276nnnn day of the year) 2021 (2nnn1nnn) Very nice looking guitar. Enjoy it!
