Obama is a God! or Bush is a God! It doesn't matter to the point.

Homz; I dont think you will - and would not like to see you - get banned for a post such as this. At no point have you or anyone else called another person by anything other than a mild insult. There has been no profanity.

I agree and am happy that the Lounge has been created so non-Gibson (and non-guitar) related topics can be discussed. As long as we all continue in the same spirit and admit that although others may not share our own viewpoint they are entitled to their opinion just as we are entitled to ours.

As far as the religious discussions go : You are smart enough to realise there is little point in trying to persuade a Christian that God does not exist. Ditto the existence of the 'Supreme Being(s)' (if any) all other religions and faiths. In return they should accept the viewpoints of all athieists, agnostics, humanists etc.

Politics : See above but with the substitution "Conservative"; "Tory"; "Whig"; "Socialist"; "Republican"; "Democrat"; "Monster Raving Loony Party" etc...etc...where neccessary.

I do get what you are on about, and agree with your point in principle. Now all we need to do is put it into practice.

Years ago' date=' when the Internet was young and Chat Rooms were becoming popular with the kids, people would "Troll" though the Chat Rooms, trying to pick a fight. They were using the American definition of the word "troll", to fish with a lure.

As it happened, as it was supposed to happen, our friends across the pond would mistake the use of the word Troll for the big creature who protects bridges and lives in mountainous caves, as they use the word "Trawl" for fishing with a lure. Before you know it, people all over the world are mistaking one "Troll" for another.[/quote']

Thank you so much for explaining this to me. I thought I was just not getting the 'Troll' angle (no fishing-type pun intended) for the usual "too old" thing.
