He dissed Sony Boy Wiliamson when the Yardbirds worked with them, believed he was God, and rarely showed up for shows when he was with Mayall. Wen he was "sober" they were in Denver playing and Eye was on the local crew My buddy who was a runner that day for the gig was made to go buy a bottle of JD and bring it to Eddie's dressing room. We found out that before he became famous his band used to practice in the same town where I lived outside of Chicago. The practiced in a wearhouse across the fox river from me.
