ksdaddy
This has got nothin' to do with nothin', I'm just a happy camper. A month ago I bought a junk Honda Shadow for $120 and parted it out on ebay. It's pretty much gone now and I'm down to 99 cent "just get it out of here" auctions but even after the ebay fees I figure I've netted about $600 profit. At the same time, a guy in Texas shipped me an old Fender 12 string for some pretty extensive repairs. I shipped it back and just told him to pay me what the work was worth (I have faith in human nature I guess). He promptly sent a $200 check, which tickled me. A couple weeks ago I won an old '83 Smith-era Strat on ebay for $810 shipped, which I had to put on my credit card. I really couldn't afford it but "had to have it". Between the Shadow and the $200 repair I either got the Strat free or with pocket change. It was nerve wracking for a time but it all worked out. And I didn't have to sell any other guitars to make it happen (no Gibson divorces involved!).
