Californiaman
This one is black with gold hardware. Looks great. I'll bet they will even be a little flexible on the price. Black ES
henry_lee
wait...what? don't tell me it's your '88 up for sale? I sure hope not! or do you already have something coming in to replace her?
DeVeeWee
I copy henry_lee but ...what on earth could ever replace your '88#-o CAman, if I had the money I bought her from you, just top put her under the bed, until that moment you would be fed up with that minor substitute, so you could buy her back again from me, without interest!!! Californiaman
It's not mine guys. If I had the money, I'd buy that guitar in a heartbeat. Then I'd send it to Henry_lee in San Francisco so he could do a proper Bigsby installation on her. Then I'd have one with and one without. How cool would that be? Twins. Californiaman
I've seen white. Izzy Stradlin played one back in the day. Wonder if he still has that. I read in an interview with him that he really liked hollow body guitars. In the interview he also talked about glueing the bridge down. Interesting. henry_lee
ha! just posted a pic of izzy in the DeVeeWee's related thread... glad to hear you're hangin' on to yours Californiaman! great strategy to get a Bigsby... one with, one without. lol. that black one for sale above is pretty pricey. I got my black one at the height of the economy for about half that. turned it around in trade toward my '54. but the white ones are indeed a bit more rare. white L4CES's are even more amazing! Californiaman
When I bought mine, the guy at GC told me that it was the natural ones that were the rarest of all. I didn't believe him. Somehow I just knew it was the white ones. I just posted on Kris's "White ES-175" post. Ha!
