You guys worry too much about date stamps,dots,periods,certificates of authenticity & such. If it sounds & plays really nice, who cares if it has the date under the serial number or such. As long as it has the wings on the headstock, it's OK.

I'm one of them who's hung up on my guitars' originality and manufacturing years' date=' etc. I don't care about that sort of stuff about my car, though. As long as it runs no problem, it's all good.[/color']

That stuff only matters if the guitar is an original vintage guitar--anything made in the last 30 years or so doesn't qualify.

I partially agree with you. I don't care if a 1990's regular LP Standard or an R9 from 2001 has the original pups' date=' but I gotta keep my Heritage 80's stock with Shaw's and USA Grovers and I'd have a Spotlight Special or Korina V the same way if I ever owned them.[/color']
