Nic LP
Yeah, I know, another posting about the R9... sorry for that. I have some questions about these two superb guitars : What are the pick ups on these two ? Neck profile ? Is it better to order or just buying one in stock at a store ? Is it a lot more expensive if I order one especially for me and add some slight mods (uncover pick ups, neck profile, ...) ? What about the weight of these guitars ? Are they swiss cheesed or chambered, like the Traditional or the 2008 Standard ? Is there a difference between the R9 and the 50th anniversary 1959 ? Thanks for your precious help. Tim Plains
Depends what year. 2003 - present, all regular historics have Burstbuckers 1 & 2. R9 neck - fat. R8 neck - fatter. What's "better" depends on you, how picky you are and what kind of deals you can get in Montreal. Why order one? R8s, R9s & R0s all have different necks. Surely, you'll find one you like. Average weight is around 9 lbs. Some are less, some are heavier. They're not swiss cheesed or chambered. They're solid.
