TommyK Posted January 22, 2010 Share Posted January 22, 2010 *Bought a new computer. *Transferring files from old to jump drive *Listening to local CW station but music has been pre-empted by local HS basketball game *Reading Star Trek Chronology book I got for Christmas *Got as far as the episode "Miri", then came here. *On the upside, I'm doing this in my jammies. *Downside is I'm contemplating the prospect of how to get 4" ice off the drive way so my wife and I don't kill ourselves getting to the car tomorrow morning.... I'm listening to some 60s rock flv files from Youtube... transferring some to my netbook that at work functions thru a set of decent speakers as my music system so I don't mess with the company computer... Gilliangirl Posted January 22, 2010 Share Posted January 22, 2010 Tommy, the way to break up that ice is to get yourself a garden hoe. Put on a thick pair of leather gloves and slam that hoe down on the ice (geez, that sounds funny, but you know what I meant). It will break up the ice in chunks and then you can just push it to the side. If the temp is above -7 celsius you can sprinkle salt on it. Have fun with the missus! p.s. I have no life either.....
