suburude63
I am confused . Gibson made a 2001 L00 deep body , 4 3/4" lower bout > ? Isnt that a Nick Lucas? How does one keep up with the models these guys churn out ? Is there such a thing? Is it the Nick Lucas?
ponty
Yes, these guitars look from the front veiw like the current Blues King but have the depth of NL. They are mahogany back and sides. I played on in the UK recently and the store wanted £1500 for it. I thought this was way over, however, someone else didnt and it had gone in no time! It was a beauty. Production finished on these aroung 2002. Available in sunburst and Natural.
NevadaPic
Two of these deep-bodied L-00 Blues King appear to be on eBay right now. Wish I had the dough for one...
Rambler
And black. Ponty nails the details. A hybrid of appts. I bought one, hoping it would lend some dreadnought presence to s small frame. Worst of both worlds. Too sharp/bright (25.5 scale= strong high end) to work as a strummer, but too much sustain for clean fingerpicking. Worked best for single string lead and slide. onewilyfool
My Gibson L-20 is actually an L-00 sized guitar with a deep body......gotta love that size.....
eds111
One difference, besides bling, is the L-00 has a larger sound hole.
