iddude Posted March 11, 2010 Share Posted March 11, 2010 I agree with Milods comments about the thumb placement. I started on the banjo many years ago and was taught by an 80 year old gent. He used a plastic wand to push on my fingers to make sure they were in the right place on the fretboard; and the thumb was at the center on the back of the neck.
