McDuff
I'm envious of all the musical venues available to people here, it seems the current music is a little restricted, perhaps when I move for college.
zombywoof
Childhood records - "The Ballad of Davy Crockett" on one of those little yellow platters. Not saying I am really nostalgic for it but it is the first record I can recall loving. After that I got into flks like Leadbelly and Woody Guthrie and then a little later on Son House, Lightnin' Hopkins, Bessie Smith, and Lonnie Johnson. Then in 1964 I saw the Beatles on Sullivan with those electric guitars. Man, I had to get me one of those and the rest, as they say, is history. I still listen to them all - well, not so much Davy Crockett any more.
