andredelong
Help please, My biz is sinking like the titanic, and now I must sell a Gibson J-45/50 and a Gibson ES325 The J45/50 is around 1973 The same for the the ES-325 Both in great condition, The ES -325 has the model or serial # 01403 on the orange sticker inside the main body, but some goof ball stamped an extra 10 infront of that number bu the tuners, which I think would make one (if your dumb enough) believe its a much earlier year make. The J45/50 as the serial # 06149743, which I bleive dates it around 1973, the word SECOND is stamped below that. anyone know what that means? My guess, value on ES 325 - 1200 -1500 and around the same on the J-45/50 any opinions? I could really use the advice.
ChrisA83
I guess SECOND means factory second, although I thought they used the digit '2' to denote that. Basically means it had a slight cosmetic flaw coming out of the factory, don't think it affects value as there will be more dings on it now. http://vintage-guitars.blogspot.com/2005/12/gibson-j-45.html Says $1500 to $2000 Don't know how accurate that is. ksdaddy
Sometimes '2', sometimes 'SECOND'. Means the same.
