Witmer
I know, binding-at-the-nut has been beat to death, and I need to get some nut sauce... but the thing is that my nut slots are not too tight. Not even close. In fact, it looks like they were over-cut and then filled with some clear/translucent material. Is it possible that this filler material is "tacky" enough to cause binding? Maybe I should just get a new nut after all.
duane v
I don't use fillers or graphite. All it's doing is treating the symptom..... Best bet is to cure the disease and replace the nut when time allows[cool]

It's not an expensive way to get your guitar playing well.
