are these fake 57 classics?

I just got pair of 57 classics off Ebay . since lots of fakes are sold on Ebay i got suspicious about authenticity of ones i got.

"Patent Applied For" Decal at the back of PUPS comes of by light touch of the finger nail. decal flakes away , brakes up if you try to scarab it even with lightest touch of finger nail. i read somewhere on the internet that its common with current 57's but it was only

one thread at some forum i could find after long searching so if somebody has any knowledge that you could share i will highly appreciate it...

I have owned many gibson pickups with those stickers and they do come off easily... If you are smart, you wouldn't go and test that... once you take those stickers off even partially it lowers their value...

 

those pickups you are talking about are the real thing... No worries there..
