hand
i cannot find replacement pickups for the elite casino. gibson only refered me to online sellers, all of which proved useless. the regular model casino is available but i've read the size of the bridge pickup is different, (japanese specs?) ken armstrong does make p90's for casino but uncertain if they would fit. my intention was to have pickups made by someone i was in contact with, but they wanted me to send the actual pickups from my guitar. i was going to have a luthier put them in with replacement electronics, knobs, etc. i have yet to find out if the armstrongs' will fit. this is an odd position for gibson to take i think, especially with the elite casino. my belief is that if you purchase a guitar, you ought to be able to buy replacement parts without too much trouble and expense. if anyone has any info regarding this would be appreciated. i've tried all the usual suspects; all parts, warmoth, stew mac, etc. no body really has them. one site hosts armstrong's. i would buy his only for the covers. his description of p90's basically has one spec. (generic). i want to have something more customized to my preferences. i attempted this some months ago w/no success. thanks all
PJ
Doesn't Duncan offer P-90s? Pretty sure I've seen them advertised.

Vic Flick
the regular model casino is availablebut i've read the size of the bridge pickup is different' date=' (japanese specs?)[/quote'] I don't think you have a problem. The only difference AFAIK is that the classic Gibson P-90s have a pole spacing of 1 15/16" for both pickups. I believe the import P-90s are 2" pole-to-pole spacing on the bridge pickup. If that's the difference you're talking about, it would only really matter if you're swapping the covers. The two little screw holes on the dog ears might not line up exactly with the holes in the body, but it's covered. The real thing to watch out for is the height of the neck pickup. The Armstrongs should be A-OK, here's the specs: Neck Alnico / D.C. =7.8k- The classic P-90 pickup with a fat, rich single coil tone. A great balance of EQ covering the entire sonic spectrum has helped to garnish this pickup with rave reviews from all who have dared to use it. A flexible pickup that sounds great in low, medium or the highest of high gain situations. Replacement for Epiphone casino, ES-330, etc. Important dimensions: body opening requirements- length - 3 5/16 in. Width - 1 5/16 in. Cover size- length - 4 13/16 in. to ends of tabs width - 1 5/8 in. Center to center mounting hole spacing - 3 13/16 in. Cover height - 3/8 in. Polepiece spacing - 10.4 mm Bridge Alnico / D.C. =7.8k- The classic P-90 pickup with a fat, rich single coil tone. Nickblues1
From what I understand all Elitist have Epiphone American made, Gibson factory wound pickups. Top of the line from Gibby to you. If you do change them I will buy the Old Elitist pickups from you.
