matiac
...for anyone who may know, over the last 4 years of owning my Lester, and keeping it clean, I have noticed not swirl marks, but more like fine scratches. I use a chamois cloth, and Harris' Boston Creme cleaner/polish. I was just wondering what's causing this, is it normal wear? Could it be the chamois? It's only really noticeable in a bright light angled a certain way, and it isn't really a big deal, just hoping it doesn't get worse over time. Anyone? sexygibson
Cant help you with this one G&F. I have never used any type of polish on any of my guitars. Just an occasional wipe with a cotton cloth.
garyelcrrt1281733995
Anything that rubs makes wear, fast wear on the softer surface (cloth), slow wear on the hard surface (guitar). I've occasionally used Meguiar's "Scratch X Fine Scratch & Swirl Remover" to remove some of the annoying polish swirls. Like all things, though, moderation is best. matiac
Thanks for the info guys, yeah maybe I'm a little too anal about keeping it clean, I do it after I play it each time, so doing that to the Gibson, being nitro would probably not be a good thing to do.
