luvastogie
Does Epiphone make a version of the GibsonCS-336? I saw the Gibby at a local store the other day and was really taken with the scaled down size compared to the ES-335. I just can't take the $3k price tag. volt1281734017
The small body of that CS-336 really makes the headstock look huge IMO. Other than that it looks good. I don't believe that Epiphone makes a version of it.......yet.
Prospero
From what I understand (and I could be wrong), the 336 is made from a solid piece of mahogany, hollowed out and given a maple top. The ES-339 has the same scaled-down size of the 336, but is the same build of the 335. The 339, then is as small as the 336 but cheaper since it is not as complicated to make. Either way, no Epiphone version. I've seen the 339 with the 50's neck a couple of times, and love the size and feel of it. If I had had the money I would've bought that rather than my Les Paul. Right now, my GAS for a second guitar is torn between a WildKat and a Sheraton II. However, if Epiphone came out with their own version of the 339 I'd buy it in an instant.
