I ain't heard nothing about any improvements, unless you get that Slash model, it's supposed to have Duncan something-or-others in it. Actually, I stand corrected, the stock NECK pickup in mine was spot-on, but had to swap both cuz the bridge T-top wasn't compatible with it, at least to my ear.
