DaddyO
Is it alright to plug the combo speaker into any of the three inputs (4,8, or 16ohms) in the back ?
Eracer_Team
Generally you want to keep the ohm load of the speaker matching the ohm jack on the back of the amp... The combo (although I don't own one) is 16ohms I believe. So you want to keep that speaker in the 16ohm speaker out jack. Easy to measure with a meter to get the static ohmage. Now that is said.. I have a 16ohm L-pad attenuator but my speaker load is 8ohms, so I keep the L-pad in the 8ohm jack, that way when I max out the volume the load matches at 8ohms, as I back the L-pad down my load increases to 16ohms on the 8ohm jack... Haven't had problems yet!... There is a reflective change on the output transformer to the amp that I've never been able to calculate nor have I seen anything really good to read on the subject that I didn't need a rocket science deg.
