cujo Posted May 19, 2008 Share Posted May 19, 2008 If I keep my amp settings the same and switch back and forth between my LP and G400...the LP is a bit darker and thicker sounding while the G400 is brighter, louder, and the crunch is a little more pronounced. Those two guitars are set up exactly the same (i.e. pots, caps, switches, p-up's, strings, and action) both are great guitars but they sound totally different. By the way, I was shopping for a Gibson SG when I found a G400 that sounded better than all the SG's that I had played. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
