However, some of the earlier releases had 'real' wood bodies, either alder or basswood, as opposed to the plywood bodies used on later editions. I'd say that if it has a non-ply body it's going to be a worthwhile project guitar... but I wouldn't waste a minute on the plywood ones. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
