juanml
Hello people on this forum. I need to adjust the tone pot because is kinda loose. I have a Dot here. I think I can do it from the F shape in the body but I want another opinion on this. Thanks in advance.
iansmitchell
If you're new to this, take it to a shop. Semi hollows are a ***** to work on..
Ron G
I'll assume that the pot is not tight to the body of the guitar. If so, you'll need to tighten the nut that's under the knob. Loop a rag under the knob and pull to remove. GENTLY tighten the nut with a box wrench, holding the pot shaft (positioned at zero) to prevent the pot itself from turning. Be very careful not to scratch your guitar.

RotcanX
What I usually do in a case like that is to remove the knob, dial the pot fully counter clockwise, then insert a slotted screwdriver into the shaft's slot. This way I can hold the screwdriver to prevent the pot from rotating as I tighten its nut.
