britabe
as stated previously at the forum here. I bought a 2006 LP standard a couple of weeks ago. today i dropped a SD 59 in the bridge and noticed that the pots were printed "A 500K". these dont need changing rigth? I mean, i want 500 k pots yes? I couldnt quite tell what the caps on the tone pots were though... btw the new pup sounds excellent. tightened up the bottom a lot ( fender HR deville) thanks
Dave67
Yes, the 500K pots are correct.
CM
A 500K pot is generally used with a humbucker, which is what you have so you're good. The "A" stands for Audio Taper which is also good for most people. You can Google for Audio and Linear Taper to get more info on all that. 250K pots are usually used with single coil pickups.
