shartom Posted September 19, 2008 Share Posted September 19, 2008 I've been playing my Ultra I for a few gigs and am really happy with the sound. I was wondering to myself what affect the tone caps have on the sound when the tone controls are set at ten. I disconnected the caps and ther was no change whatsoever. I used to have a switch on my Tele that allowed me to disconnect it for more twang. There was too much twang. The Ultra is turning out to be a real keeper. The wiring in the control cavity was very good. Not sure if this experiment would achieve the same results with all Epi's. I'm happy. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
