mpeixoto
Dear Admin, I have recently bought a Gibson Custom 57 Les Paul Goldtop with coa LPR-7 SN# 7 7220. I have browsed Guitar Center website and I have found out that there are at least two models of the R7 (not counting with the Dark Back): - Gibson Custom 57 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue - Gibson Custom 57 Les Paul Goldtop VOS So my question is: do I have a VOS or a Reissue? Custom Admin
your guitar is both. Reissue refers to the type of guitar you have, VOS refers to the lightly aged look of the finish and hardware.
mpeixoto
Dear Admin, Thank you very much for your quick reply on this. I'm sorry to insist but my mind is not yet clear about this. If my guitar is a in fact a Gibson Custom 57 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue VOS why does Guitar Center sell: - Gibson Custom 57 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue Antique Gold - Gibson Custom 57 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue Antique Gold Blemished Item - Gibson Custom Shop 57 Les Paul Goldtop VOS At three different prices, looks like they're three complete different models. ibis
You can buy the 1957 GT reissue as a VOS or Full Gloss.
mpeixoto
Hi Ibis, Thanks for your help. Does that mean the Antique Gold is the sames as VOS? And Blemished Item is Full Gloss? Rock On, Miguel
Custom Admin
Hi Ibis' date=' Thanks for your help. Does that mean the Antique Gold is the sames as VOS? And Blemished Item is Full Gloss? Rock On, Miguel[/quote'] AG is a color code, it stands for Antique Gold. VOS, again, refers to the slightly aged look of the finish and hardware. Glossy guitars are more expensive than VOS, and i would assume GC is selling their blems for less than both, thus the 3 different prices.
mpeixoto
Dear Admin, Once again thanks for your help. I guess Gibsons Les Paul are to be played and loved and not to try to figure out their models and versions and variations and so on… B) Rock On, Miguel
