northernbluesman
So what do you think the neck of my eo-1 is held on with...epoxy or hide glue? I'm looking at the glue inside the body and it looks like it could be epoxy...
fastblueheeler1281734108
It may not be hide glue but surely not epoxy! You could never replace the neck without tearing the wood apart. I think only a super cheap guitar maker would use epoxy. It's probably something like Titebond.

The only outfit using Epoxy on a regular basis is Ovation / Applause. Top removal requires a chisel, sweat and a few choice words: "#&*@!%#* Kaman!" ajsc
I think it would be fun to take a chisel, to an ovation!! Of course I wouldn't be too concerned with putting it back together!!
