mishau
Hello, a friend of mine got a greco SG60-63 guitar and replaced the bridge pickup with this gibson one: http://img77.imageshack.us/img77/1349/gp03ne3.jpg http://img70.imageshack.us/img70/4328/gp01db9.jpg He didn't like the sound for some reason and got it back to the original Greco pickup. He says he doesn't need this gibson pick up and wants to give it to me. I would like in turn to recognize what pickup it is, in order to decide on which guitar I will set it. Can you conjecture what it could be? It seems it a bridge pick up, right? What exactly is the model name. Thanks.
marvar
Well, it appears that it's wax potted, so it isn't a real old one- it also appears that it had a cover on it at one time-looking at a pickup really doesn't tell you very much- can u get us some DC resisitance readings? that might help determine what it might be. Otherwise, I'd just say it's a stock Gibson pickup.

mishau
It appears to be 9KOhms, if his measuring was proper. http://img241.imageshack.us/img241/750/gpick02oy8.jpg http://img71.imageshack.us/img71/3644/gpick01oi5.jpg
