AyushPresley
..the prices between SG's and Les Paul's ?? Like here in Aus I have seen brand new SG's go for 500+ (G400-Ebony) While a brand new LP Standard Ebony go for around 900+ (This is after the price rise here in Aus 2009).. and the calculations are somewat similar to the US too.. Is it because of the lack of bindings and a thinner body in SG's ?? or else I guess all the technicals what nots and hardware are the same...!! Would the Thin body and having no bindings result in about $300 - 400 worth of difference......?? or is it because LP is a top selling brand..?? Lord Summerisle
Why does a Gibson SG Standard sell for (US)$1400, whereas a Gibson Les Paul Standard sells for (US)$1900? I'm guessing the extra work in crafting the carved top etc. is part of the reason. But popularity is probably another factor. I think LPs are probably still more popular than SGs. But then I don't know much about LPs. I'm an SG guy, personally.

bluelake07
A Gibson Les Paul Studio actually costs a little bit less than a SG standard. A Studio is nice and all, but it's not an Ice Tea Standard that I want but don't want to pay for.
