Gashole
Was wondering... Wouldn't it be a fairly straight forward process to install string benders (like some teles are rigged with) in a semi hollow? Would it be easier to do then in a Tele? No routing would need to occur, right? I have this fantasy about putting a b and e string bender in my Wildkat...it could get pretty freaky I think. I'm just wondering if between the f holes and the rear access if there would be enough room to secure the springs and such? Anybody ever had a semi hollow rigged out that way? Would the bottom strap button still be a viable bender button locale with the Bigsby there? Can't lose the Bigsby!
TWANG
I've got a friend with a B bender and we were talking about him sending it up to me.. I forgot why now.. but I'd like to get another look at it. It was in a strat.. so it was modified a bit. I forget how, now, too. I'll give him a call and see if he'll send it up to me. Pretty neat device, really.. epi had one for a while.. they should have pushed in on a model or two! TWANG
stabarah
this might be a nowhere reponse, but what if the springs in the string bender stress the wood on the body. Again, this might be plain stupid, i dont know much about hollowbodies
TWANG
If you can put a bigsby on it, I bet you can put a string bender on it.. there's wood under there thick enough for the bridge. TWANG
