floydpink7 Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Woah... by the tuners it looks like a bass, but by the pickups it looks like a guitar... Looks like it's just a Les Paul Deluxe Bass
RobinTheHood Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Woah... by the tuners it looks like a bass' date=' but by the pickups it looks like a guitar... Looks like it's just a Les Paul Deluxe Bass[/quote'] yeah, and I've never seen a tail piece like that on a bass before either. The knob area looks similar to an old Les Paul Triumph bass...but not quite. How' bout some less blurry pics? I mean, really...help us out here.
biglugpa Posted February 27, 2009 Author Posted February 27, 2009 i bought it on ebay .. will get it this coming week .. just wondering what it was ... when i get it ill take good pics.. i bought it just as a second bass,my main bass is gibson sg ...
biglugpa Posted February 27, 2009 Author Posted February 27, 2009 Here is another one (les paul) made in 2000 .. so yeah i believe thats what this is . he claims late 60's
RobinTheHood Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Take some pics when you get it and we'll see what we can come up with. And as for pics of the whole range of the Epi bass models over the years, I'd like one too. Epi used to have an archive page on the Gibson site, but they took it down last year. I was bummed. I used it many times to identify discontinued models.
biglugpa Posted February 27, 2009 Author Posted February 27, 2009 Isn't this a tail piece like the ones the ones on the Ravoli bass and hollow body styles?
RobinTheHood Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Just did a GIS. Yeah, I gueas you are right. Some are like that. Never played or been very interested in hollow body basses. lol. You learn something new every day.
stevew4818 Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 It looks like any bass from California! I lost a Fender Musicmaster Bass to theBay Area earthquake in 1989. The ground shook for about two minutes where I lived and over that bass went and boom goes the neck!
