byrds1965 Posted April 9, 2009 Share Posted April 9, 2009 Didn't click before I posted. I own a Gibson Hummingbird Artist. This seems to be a CS Epiphone version of the same thing. The Epiphone looks like the standard Epiphone HB minus the fancy pickguard. The Gibson model has a slightly pinched top and is not as square as a standard Hummingbird. If you know the Gibson Songwriter the Gibson version is pretty much the same body shape. I would expect this Epiphone Hummingbird Artist to sound much like a stock Epiphone Hummingbird. Nice but nothing special. If you like the looks and sound go for it but try to find one and play first. Acoustics are just too personal to do the mail order thing.............trust me!
