copacetic Posted May 18, 2009 Share Posted May 18, 2009 What would be the exact tuner/parts # replacement for a Casino Elitist in the Grover Style and the Kluson Button style. I enquired about this the other day but soe of the parts numbers were incorrect, as I went down to my local repair guy and he had some of them in but none were going to fit in the Elitist Casino. He mentioed that Gotoh were a great price for the quality(pretty much as good as you can get). The Tone pros were definitly also top of the line. He mentioned that this Elitist woud probably need bushings. Nickel preferred on Gotoh Tone Pro Anyone who has done this might have the part numbers. Thanks. The Kluson/Tone Pros with the correct size shaft is model TPKB3-N. They don't need bushings. If your local repairman says those won't fit your Elitist, you better find a better repair guy. You know, there's this thing called Google. It's on the internets. Since we don't know what we're talking about, do your own research. Doesn't he know??? You have to look up the model # for him??? You're going to let him touch your guitar??? Farewell and adieu, you fair Spanish ladies... The model # is Grover 102-18N like I said before. (Grover 102 is the Rotomatic series, same as the stock Casino Elitist tuners. 18 indicates 18:1 ratio, a couple of bucks more but worth it. N=nickel). Anyone who has done this might have the part numbers. I've been putting Grovers on guitars since 1968. Probably in the hundreds. RotcanX, who knows a thing or two about guitar repair, restoring & customizing told you to get Grover 102-18Ns. But don't believe us, trust the repairman who doesn't have a clue which model fits. The other day I did go and look up the Tone Pro site and when I saw that model number but not the button style key I thought I had copied the # down wrong. However I assume that one is available in the button key. The Tone Pros will require 2 new holes from the looks of it. The Grovers will be an exact fit. I do appreciate your advice.
