Rumor: JL Revolution Guitar Cases???

I showed my pal (he has a JL REV) the link on ebay of the JL Rev with the broken headstock. He told me the case may have caused this[blink] ..... He said the early JL Rev cases were Lifton re-issue cases, and some had a neck cradle issue, and if the case took a shock, it would put pressure on the headstock area of the neck, and it could cause damage[confused] ......

He told me the later cases were the TKL's with the combination locks and embossed E on the inside lining, (I have). And are the better cases.

I have a informal gig at a club next week with some pals, and I plan on taking the Casino and the faded SG, and I'm a bit concerned. My Casino is never in its case, and this is the first time its doing a gig.

Has anyone heard this???? Actually I never noticed the case differences until my pal brought it to my attention[confused] .... I thought the cases were exclusively TKL's.....

Nope...never heard that, specifically. I suppose it's "possible," but...I think it would take a

pretty good "bang" to do that. And, we ALL know how "careful" the shipping

companies are.....NOT!!!! If you were shipping it, or "on tour," where it gets handled

a lot, out of your sight, then a Flight Case, would be in order. But...I think, for your purposes,

it will be just fine. Besides, we all know, you're not going to let anything happen, to Yoko

(AKA your JL Casino), anyway. ;>)

LOL....nah, I'm just envious, you have a JL Revolution Casino! Not "jealous" (that's negative), but

envious, and happy for you, too! Sure is a beauty! Between my Gretsch guitars and my Ric's..."The

Beatles" have cost me a LOT of money! LOL! But, it's well spent, and has given me a LOT of joy,

over the years.

Ohhhhhh, Sorry...that would be like giving away one of my "Children!"

And, actually...since my '66 has been "refinished," it's of little "monetary"

value, anymore. But, it means a LOT, to me. And, everyone that plays

it, doesn't seem to want to give it back. LOL! So, I think I'll hang on,

to that one. Your JL will probably be worth more, later...(Heck, maybe

even now), than mine...your's being a limited edition/run.
