mykeadaptiv Posted March 7, 2010 Share Posted March 7, 2010 I picked up an Epiphone G-310 the other day, used, very cheap. It's the "pitch black" one. Anyhow, I want to swap out the stock tuners for something that holds better tune. Will a regular set of Grovers just drop right in, or will it need to be drilled? and if it needs to be drilled, Are there any aftermarket tuners that will fit in with no altering of the headstock? m. RobinTheHood Posted March 7, 2010 Share Posted March 7, 2010 The Specials have the super cheap 'economy' tuners and the G-310's have the die-cast tuners. Typically, the die-cast tuners are decent enough, but sometimes you get some bad ones. Mine hold tune very well. The 310 tuners should be 10mm.
